    A parking garage for your bedpan
    I was hoping this would be a comfortable alternative to a bedpan, but it was impractical to expect him to be able to get this under himself reliably as he couldn’t stand on his own and couldn’t lift his hips high enough.It makes a great parking garage for the bedpan though to keep the rest of yoru supply area clean and tidy.

    The instructions say to put both peices under the person but it then its a fat bedpan and I understand the logic. .I bought a fracture pan cause mom can’t lift that high and I use the outer peice as a storage for the fracture pan so the bedpan doesn’t lay on something dirty cause it’s going in the bed on the sheet

    I would give this product 5 stars as a bedpan for totally bedridden patients. It is designed to slide under a patient who is lying down.I did not realize the unsuitability for a patient who can sit up and sit ON the bedpan. The sliding pan, which must be convenient when assisting a recumbent user, readily slides out when the patient sits—emptying contents on bed and floor.The instructions that come with the pan caution against having a patient sit ON the pan. They claim injury may result.So, if you need a bedpan that can be sat on look elsewhere. I hope this review will save you from a >$30 mistake.

    The Bedderpan is very well-made and well-designed two-piece bedpan for patients confined to bed at home. The base or housing unit is very sturdy, yet easy to position under the patient and very comfortable to sit/lie on while in bed. The removable part called the fracture pan collects any waste products and slides easily out of the housing unit for disposal and cleaning without having to move or disturb the patient. The biggest problem with most bedpans of course is spillage and cleanup, and the Bedderpan pretty much eliminates this issue. It costs a little more than some of the cheaper old-style bedpans, but is well worth it because of the comfort, durability and cleanliness it offers!
